About Dagmar

I have trained in craniosacral therapy, fascial unwinding, and distant craniosacral integration with Thomas Attlee at the College of Craniosacral Therapy and have attended a number of CPD courses, such as working with shock with Lizette Villaverde and ‘Talking to the Heart’ with Etienne Peirsman. My registration with the Craniosacral Therapy Association reflects the high standard of my qualification and also commits me to ongoing training and supervision.
My educational background is having an MA (Psychology and Italian), an MEd in Autism, and a postgraduate diploma in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions. My interest in psychological therapies has led me to gain more knowledge about Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My work background includes working for 20 years with adults and children with learning disabilities, Autism, and complex disabilities in social care and in educational settings as well as working in a mental health setting providing talking therapies based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
My passion has always been to meet each individual in their uniqueness and to enable them to see, and to bee seen for, their gifts and contributions they bring to the world around them.
In my practice as a craniosacral therapist, my intention is to combine evidence based techniques with intuitive wisdom and to meet each person in a way that creates the possibility for them to meet the place in themselves where they can trust and activate their own body’s healing potential on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.
In my spare time I enjoy being out in nature, either walking or cycling, reading, crocheting and knitting, and creating a home that welcomes visitors and provides a place of meeting and friendship.
