Cranio-sacral Therapy

Cranio-sacral therapy has evolved from osteopathy and works with the nervous system and the craniosacral rhythm expressed within the structures of the nervous system: the brain, the spinal cord, and the cerebrospinal fluid.

Disturbances of these structures caused by injuries, illness, stress, shock, or trauma can have repercussions throughout the body and be expressed and experienced as physical or emotional difficulties.

Using light touch to engage with the craniosacral rhythm enables the identification and release of subtle disturbances and restrictions of body tissues. The motion of tissues, the circulation of body fluids eases, and the flow of  energy, potency, or vitality can return to a more natural state that is often experienced as ease and a reduction of symptoms.

Cranio-sacral Therapy can relieve a multitude of symptoms and conditions (see list below) and supports the body to maintain its inherent health. Due to its gentle nature it is suitable for babies, children, and adults of all ages. It is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical advice or interventions.

Craniosacral Therapy Is deeply holistic, recognising our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects as one united being.  By engaging with the core of our being, the craniosacral rhythm, Craniosacral Therapy does not merely aim to alleviate symptoms, but to address the root causes of symptoms, and can therefore enable true healing to take place.
